这篇讲什么
本文介绍了Commisso等人开发的一种利用紫外光强度在三维打印过程中空间调控热塑性聚合物结晶度的方法,从而在单一材料中实现硬度和柔软度的梯度分布。
原文开头
Thermoplastic properties are spatially tuned with light intensity during three-dimensional (3D) printing Jake L. Nicholson1 and Quentin Michaudel1,2 Biological materials such as bones and cartilage are often composed of materials with widely differ- ent mechanical properties for active adaptation in dynamic environments (1). For example, hard calcium phosphate minerals are embedded in soft protein matrices (collagen) to constitute bones (2). The spatial gradient of hard and soft domains provides superior mechanical toughness, which is essential for resisting frac- ture under stress. Achieving multifunctionality in engineered materials can also be useful for information storage and im- parting flexibility to otherwise rigid objects. However, con- trolling spatial arrangements of hard and soft regions within a single manufactured material remains a challenge. …
