AMD has agreed to acquire World Labs, the spatial-intelligence company co-founded by Fei-Fei Li, in an all-stock transaction valued at approximately $8.2 billion. Announced on September 28, the agreement brings a prominent AI research team closer to the engineers designing the processors and systems its models depend on. The acquisition is expected to close before the end of 2026, subject to regulatory approval and customary conditions.
