Samsung has increased Galaxy S26 smartphone prices in South Korea, making its current flagship lineup more expensive several months after launch. The changes took effect on October 1 and cover the standard S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra, according to Yonhap. The adjustment changes the cost of buying an existing generation of phones. It is a price revision during the products' commercial life, with no accompanying hardware upgrade identified in the reporting. Yonhap linked the increase to pressure from rising memory semiconductor prices. The move comes as smartphone manufacturers face a difficult combination: more expensive components and customers with limited appetite for higher bills.
