A new way to take home an iPhone, iPad, Mac, or Apple Watch is set to arrive in the United States on July 28. Called Apple Upgrade, the program will bring leasing directly into the company’s retail experience, promising lower monthly payments and greater flexibility when it is time to change devices. Rather than spreading the full purchase price across a conventional installment plan, Apple Upgrade will calculate payments around the device’s expected value at the end of the agreement.
