Apple Watch captured nearly all Edge AI-capable smartwatch shipments in the first quarter of 2026, giving Apple a commanding lead in one of the next major battles for wearable technology. According to Counterpoint Research data, global shipments of Edge AI smartwatches grew 70% year over year in Q1 2026, with Apple accounting for roughly 90% of those shipments.
