Apple is significantly expanding its U.S. semiconductor strategy, announcing a multiyear agreement with Broadcom that will lead to the production of more than 15 billion American-made chips while deepening one of the company’s most important technology partnerships. The agreement, valued at more than $30 billion, represents the largest commitment under Apple’s American Manufacturing Program and will fund a major expansion of Broadcom’s manufacturing operations in Fort Collins, Colorado.
