Atom Computing公司制造的基于超冷原子的量子计算机在长时间计算过程中能够反复检测并纠正自身错误,这是其走向实用化的重要前提。
原文开头
Quantum computing An error-correction milestone An atom-based quantum computer can correct its own errors during long computations, an important prerequisite for becoming truly useful, reports Karmela Padavic-Callaghan THE race to build the first truly useful quantum computer just got more exciting. A quantum computer made from extremely cold atoms has now passed some of the most important milestones towards usefulness, joining a small group of equally able and promising machines. the new work makes a case for being able to do both. “This study is the first to bring together all of the capabilities needed to build a real neutral-atom quantum computer in a single experiment,” says Jeff Thompson at Princeton University. …
