AT&T is committing $250 billion over the next five years to modernize and expand its U.S. telecommunications infrastructure, a sweeping capital investment aimed at strengthening network capacity for what executives describe as the “AI age.” The company, which serves more than 100 million wireless and broadband customers nationwide, is replacing legacy copper lines with fiber, expanding 5G coverage, and integrating satellite connectivity into its broader network strategy.
