he spread of misinformation is threatening public health and the future of our democracies. But amid the flood of falsehoods and Al-generated propaganda, some commentators have expressed concern that all this talk about misinformation will simply lead people not to believe anything anymore. Indeed, there is a crucial difference between the professional true Skeptic who is open-minded and able to carefully discern between fact and fiction and a more nihilistic attitude characterized by a pessimistic tendency to doubt and scoff at simply everything.
