Or with each other: “And never involving goldfish,” insists Marvin. “Well, I don’t know about never involving goldfish,” jokes his longtime co-writer, co-star and co-producing partner, Covino, reflecting on the real-life rumbles that informed one of the maddest movie fight scenes in recent memory. Early in Splitsville, the pair’s comedy-drama about who sleeps with his best friend's wife, Marvin's dorky teacher character, Carey, comes clean about his actions and a brawl ensues.
