Amazon has entered one of the stock market’s smallest clubs. A surge in its shares pushed the company beyond a $3 trillion valuation for the first time, joining Apple, Microsoft, Alphabet and Nvidia as the only corporations to have crossed that threshold. The shares rose more than 5% on Monday, reaching record territory and lifting Amazon’s market capitalization to roughly $3.1 trillion.
