Apple is asking a federal judge to intervene before its trade-secret lawsuit against OpenAI reaches trial. A new motion seeks a preliminary injunction intended to stop the AI company and its hardware affiliates from possessing, using or building products from information Apple alleges was taken by former employees. The request is accompanied by a push for expedited discovery, including documents and sworn testimony from OpenAI, its foundation, io Products and two former Apple employees named as defendants.
