EDGAR WRIGHT HAS finally stopped running. It’s been nearly five months since his latest movie, The Running Man, his Glen Powell- starring adaptation of the Stephen King (writing as Richard Bachman) adaptation, but he didn’t pause after the shoot for a gulp of air. He hit the promotional trail, shot a music video for Julia Cumming, and oversaw the extras crammed onto the film’s various home-ent formats, all following a breakneck production schedule, the tightest of his career to date. “I just want to say on record,” he laughs, leaning closer to Empire’s recording device, “I’m not complaining about making movies.
