Craig Mazin is synonymous with sombre, prestige television, serving as creator, writer and producer on shattering HBO dramas Chernobyl and The Last Of Us. In fact, when he speaks with Empire, it’s from Vancouver as he gears up to shoot the third and perhaps final season of the latter video-game-based series (“It’s our most ambitious,” he teases).
