On the brutally hot afternoon of 25 June, it was typically bustling, and diners looked on from a packed restaurant. But it turned into a scene of horror when four women became embroiled in a confrontation that left one dead. It was around 2pm when officers arrived at the Val Verde Regional Centre after 24-year-old Caroline Pena had been rushed to the hospital by her nephew after being stabbed multiple times in broad daylight. It was later revealed she was stabbed in the back and the stomach, with one of the blows right next to a busy road. The mother of five was airlifted to another hospital for treatment, but succumbed to her injuries at 9pm that evening. …
