The new Wi-Fi 7 budget champion. The TP-Link Archer BE3600 is the cheapest Wi-Fi 7 router we’ve seen. At $174, it significantly undercuts our previous value recommendation, the Asus RT-BE58U – and it does so with few compromises. At this price it goes without saying that the Archer BE3600 doesn’t support the ultra-fast 6GHz radio band – but so what? Many laptops, consoles, smart TVs and so forth don’t support the higher frequency band anyway, and for those that do it’s often no faster than a 5GHz connection, as it’s less able to project through walls and overcome interference.
