Across the U.S., weekly rates of emergency room visits for tick bites have been trending higher than in any other year since 2019, according to the Centers for Disease Control and prevention’s tick-bite tracker. In the Midwest, this year’s rates have consistently been the highest since 2017, when the tracker was launched. That all adds up to a lot of bites. …
