I was a young mother, but also a young artist searching for a good thing to make. I had quit my art education in its last year because of irreconcilable differences about what counted as art. My hunger for quality, technique, and craftsmanship was dismissed. It was impossible to stay without crashing into a big internal conflict, and I was already physically feeling the effects of that. So, I had accepted a crappy non-related job and started a family instead. One of my greatest wishes. Even though I was sad about it, art was now a side project.
