Yavuz1,2,3* We demonstrate the viability of the NOSCE approach for aliphatic and aromatic compounds and plastic waste, representative of higher– carbon number hydrocarbons that favor coke formation, and under steam-rich conditions, where MgO is usually not stable. To treat real waste and hydrocarbon mixtures, we established a two-step process, including (i) gasification of plastic and organic waste under flue gas or CO2 flow and (ii) completion of the process of low-carbon syngas formation by reforming. …
