Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has reignited one of artificial intelligence’s most contested debates: whether humanity has already reached Artificial General Intelligence, commonly abbreviated as AGI. Speaking on Lex Fridman’s podcast, Huang suggested that AGI has effectively been achieved — though under a narrower definition than many researchers traditionally use. He pointed to open-source agent platforms such as OpenClaw, where autonomous AI systems can perform tasks that generate real revenue, build applications, and operate with limited human oversight.
