Lilienfeld Alliance Receives JREF Award. On December 26, 2025, the James Randi Educational Foundation (JREF) announced that the Lilienfeld Alliance would receive the 2025 JREF Award in the amount of $250,000. Named in honor of the late Scott Lilienfeld, the purpose of the nonprofit “is to connect instructors who teach critical thinking at the college and university level, to advocate for course content that promotes rational skepti- cism, and to encourage further study of best practices in the pedagogy of teach- ing such courses.” The executive board in- cludes Natalia Pasternak, Raymond Hall, Kathleen Dyer, and Rodney Schmaltz. They will be hosting their annual confer- ence, LiliCon, from May 26-28, 2026, in Fresno, California. …
