Microsoft is offering a one-time voluntary retirement program to a small share of long-serving U.S. employees, marking the first time in the company’s more than 50-year history that it has introduced such a program. According to internal reporting cited by Reuters and The Verge, the offer applies to U.S.-based employees at the senior director level and below whose age plus years of service total at least 70.
