Canada was left reeling last month after a school shooting in the remote town of Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia, left nine dead and at least 25 others injured. The atrocity shattered the close-knit community and in the days after the attack, crisis teams supported traumatised students and families while investigators examined how such violence could have unfolded.
