Comedian, actress and writer Cariad Lloyd started her podcast, Griefcast, in 2016, and within six months it had become one of the top downloads on iTunes. Cariad drew on her teenage experience of her father dying of pancreatic cancer to explore bereavement and loss with people — often comics — who had experienced the deaths of loved ones. The podcast drew to a close in 2023, having become one of the most beloved of shows, bringing a comic sensibility and life-affirming realness to the conversation around death and dying.
